Mama Teresa’s

Flying Pizza

In the 1980s, the first Mama Teresa’s restaurant opened in Crystal Beach, which is located on the Bolivar Peninsula. Customers of that restaurant have been able to indulge in mouthwatering Italian cuisine and pizzas made by hand for the past 25 years.

That location was destroyed by Hurricane Ike, but they have since reopened in the heart of downtown Galveston, close to the intersection of Postoffice and 21st Streets.

Mama Teresa’s is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Galveston for serving some of the most authentic Italian food available. Their dishes range from appetizers like crispy calamari to entrees like chicken and pasta with olive oil or garlic and shrimp fettuccine alfredo. It goes without saying that in addition to that, they are baking some of the most delicious pizza you’ll ever have the pleasure of eating.
