Caszatt Condos

Galveston Island

Jack and Cat Caszatt, along with their four children, experienced life as a military family in the same way that every other military family does: they moved around a lot.
New schools here. There, I made some new friends.

But after Cat and Jack had been in the military for 25 years, it was time for them to choose a permanent residence, and the decision to move to Galveston Island was an easy one for them to make.
They were huge fans of the beach.

They cherished the notion of living a life in which they could spend as much time as possible with their feet in the sand.

In point of fact, you can frequently find the two of them engaging in that activity, which is to walk around barefoot on the beach with their toes buried in the sand while holding a beverage in one hand and having a good time with each other, local friends, or one or more of their children Samantha, Matt, Sarah, and Katrina who are now adults.

The Caszatts are a lively and close-knit family, and although their children have since moved away from the island for their education and careers, the family still enjoys spending time together in the same ways that many other Texan families do, including spending Christmas Day on the beach, celebrating Mother’s Day at a river in the Hill Country, attending football games and college graduations in College Station, and attending an upcoming wedding in Austin.

The couple is able to devote more time and attention to living the Galveston Island lifestyle and sharing it with others now that Jack has completely retired from the aviation industry after working for Southwest Airlines for an additional 15 years as a pilot.

They were successful with their condo investments in Gulf Shores, Alabama, so not long after moving to the island, they had the idea to purchase another vacation rental condo on the Galveston Seawall. This idea came shortly after they had moved to the island.

They named their first property “Iseazatt View,” a cute play on words because the property has incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico and the name was chosen because of the location of the property.

Cat and Jack really enjoyed having new people stay at their condo while they were on the island. Cat was an excellent hostess who provided her guests with suggestions regarding activities and locations to visit. She had a passion for reading reviews and looking at photos that guests had shared with her after their stay, and she was always working to improve the overall experience for guests.

After some time, they increased the number of condos available for short-term rentals in their portfolio to a total of four. Cat had a lot of fun decorating her condos with beachy motifs and bright colors, which resulted in an atmosphere that her renters described as having a “beachy vacation rental” vibe.

Cat was ecstatic to receive the “Airbnb Superhost” Badge on her listings for her hospitality, attention to detail, cleanliness, value, and guest communication. This continued even as they added more properties to their portfolio, which resulted in their guests continuing to rate all of their accommodations with five stars.

After nearly 20 years of being Galveston Islanders by Choice, Cat and Jack enjoy giving their guests a taste of island life through activities such as enjoying morning coffee with a gulf breeze, taking golf cart trips to local restaurants, fishing on the pier, taking in breathtaking Galveston sunsets, and spending as much time as possible with their toes in the sand.
